Scar Pencil Tests, Andreas Deja..

I will always love pencil tests, I'll even go so far as to say I enjoy the texture and raw acting better than the final product. Pencil tests embody the spirit of the animator, as well as the character that is being portrayed. My next film "Pull" is being entirely done in Pencil Test (albeit, very fine scanned and well compositited, nothing "test" about it). Enjoy these from the man.. Andreas.

Snow White Pencil Test..

I remember seeing this when I was a kid from the Walt Disney TV special, "Plausible Impossible".. it was before I ever really thought about animation, later when I was in college I rented a vhs of the same show, and I finally located the clip on youtube!  This is the deleted scene of how the got the soap out of Dopey. Enjoy.

also, here's another deleted pencil test clip.. thanks David.

Deleted scene from "Black Cauldron"

Another gem from Pencil Test Depot.. I'm always fascinated with this movie.. i suppose because of the mark in time it represents, but people often forget to mention how good some of the animation was, you just have to ignore the hyper-disney fluff. Dig wussies.

Rare Pinocchio Pencil Test..

This is a great scene.. I've studied it for a long time. It was very helpful when I was figuring out the "burst" of the arms coming out of my characters chest in Puppet. Enjoy!
