Chomet's "Illusionist" looks pretty damn good...

I only speak a few phrases of french.. (don't want to after the drama of a few months ago) but the bits of animation in this interview for Chomet's "Illusionist" looks epic. Seriously.. this film has a shot at legend. The backgrounds alone are worth checking this one out..

  5. I got to work at Django for a few weeks and during that time got to see a lot of pencil tests. Totally unqualified to give judgement as I am, it seemed really mature, subtle stuff. Think of the precision and creativity of Hitchcock but dozens of him, pouring their attention onto every frame.
